(Photos are from 2013-2014 when I dislocated my elbow and smashed my wrist. 9 months later I was trying to come back too quickly and snapped my ACL. Oh yeah, and I was going through a divorce, short-selling my house, and quitting my job to be a full-time coach. Ha Ha!...
I will never forget the first time I saw Bobby. I was at the top of Whistler hanging out on the side of the trail when two guys go rolling by, the rider in front yelling “left, left, left, right, right, right, jump, jump, jump!” My jaw dropped as a second rider went by with a “blind” vest on, hucking the Freight Train jumps! I knew right then I wanted to be friends with that person.
I feel very fortunate to have gotten to know Bobby Mcmullen. He faced more adversity in one lifetime and most of us could ever imagine and yet he always came to you with a smile on his face and positivity in his attitude.
He invited me to Make a Wish Foundation ride with him and another kid who had had a heart transplant. Watching him ride the UCSC tech trails behind a guide was mind blowingly rad! I would ride a steep section with roots and drops and get to the bottom, stop and look back and sure enough he’d be shredding behind his guide enjoying every minute!
If you have a chance, check out this video to get an idea of how incredible this person was.
I’m going to miss your infectious attitude, your words of wisdom, your endless pursuit of shred, and just hanging out with you my friend. I look forward to riding bikes with Ella someday and reminding her of just how special her dad was. And I will give Heidi a big hug for you. XO @rideblindracing @mcmullenheidi...

Amazing season of racing for @sweetlinesjrracing at the @nw_cup !
Our riders had overall positions in 7 categories! The progression this has been unreal and we are so excited for next year.
But for now, time to get training!
